De Jansbeek heet dan wel een beek te zijn maar is natuurlijk net zo min een beek als een roeimachine een roeiboot is. Het moderne leven is vol verwarring en make belief. En natuur is in Nederland nooit zomaar natuur. Neem plaats in deze (nep)roeiboot en maak een tochtje over deze (fake)beek. Luister naar het vrolijke gemurmel van het water. Hoor hoe het bamboe ruist in de wind. Het leven is net een droom.

The Jansbeek is presented as a stream but of course it is just as much a stream as a rowing machine is a rowing boat. Modern life is full of confusion and make-believe. And nature in the Netherlands is never just nature.
Take a seat in this (fake) rowing boat and take a trip on this (fake) stream. Listen to the cheerful murmur of the water. Hear the bamboe in the wind. Life is just a dream.
