ENTRANCE DESK

Commision: Design for a new entrancedesk as a part of a whole new design for the entrance area of the museum

The new entrance desk has a central role in the entrance area. Ticket sales and information provision are combined in one design. With Bruggeman being inspired by the capital letter B symbolising the identity of the museum, the design itself is a synthesis of an industrial advertising letter with the practical measurements of a
classic desk. The large B fabricated in blue perspex is surrounded by digital screens above which provide current information. An integral part of the design is the representation of nature as a plant or flowerarrangement which can vary in the future.
